Línea de Oro “is the name of Habanos S.A. the new super premium line of the Habanos brand Romeo y Julieta, founded in 1875. Since “Oro” means “gold” in Spanish, we can expect a lot from this new series. In the future, it will be a permanent addition to the brand’s range and consists of three new, contemporary formats that are reserved exclusively for this series. The Hidalgos, with the production name of the same name, a length of 125 mm and a huge ring gauge of 57, which will be the largest ring gauge in the Romeo y Julieta range. In fact, it will even be the “thickest” Habano in the standard range! All three new formats follow the trend towards cigars with large ring sizes and medium length. Their tobacco blend is described as medium to strong, which is a novelty for the Romeo y Julieta brand, previously known as medium-strength, and also expands its range in terms of taste. The three new cigars come on the market in elaborately manufactured and very eye-catching boxes of 20 each. They are lacquered with a high gloss in a warm reddish brown. The vista of the Romeo y Julieta brand with the classic balcony scene as a medallion can be found on the lid. The edges of the lid and the lower part are set off in gold. The cigars are covered by an embossed bofeton with information about the “Línea de Oro”. The cigars are adorned with a new ring that is used exclusively for the “Línea de Oro”. Its color design is, according to the name of the line, also dominated by gold and it bears the name of the respective cigar format. A second ring at the base of the cigars indicates that it belongs to the “Línea de Oro”. For a new Habanos line in this category, it goes without saying that the cigars are made from the best tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo “totalmente a mano” – entirely by hand – as long fillers.
