One of the strongest and most complex brands in the Habanos portfolio, Bolívar is appreciated by seasoned smokers for its powerful personality. The tobacco leaves of this exquisite cigar come from the renowned Vuelta Abajo region in the province of Pinar del Río and are known for their exceptional quality.
The history of the Bolívar brand is rich in nuances. Founded in Great Britain in 1902, it was registered in La Habana in 1921. Bolívar is characterized by its strong taste and has traditionally been popular with experienced smokers. The Gold Medal Vitola, which dates back to the 1960s, is 50% wrapped in gold foil and is one of the most famous and sought-after collector’s items among Habanos. Their earthy taste is incomparable and can retain its characteristic flavor for decades.
Now she returns as the Bolívar New Gold Medal. The “New” here refers to the format. While the classic Gold Medal was made as a “Cervante” with a ring gauge of 42 and a length of 165 mm, the ring gauge of the New Gold Medal has now increased to 48.
