The new Montecristo Gran Pirámides are part of the limited edition Colección Habanos series and have finally begun to reach retail outlets around the world – and they are not cheap. Although this version is actually the 2017 edition, retailers will not receive a new version until this month. At 158.75 mm long and 22.44 mm in diameter, the Monte Gran Pirámides is a longer version, thicker and extended the classic Monte no. 2. The cigars come in boxes of 20 cigars. Like all cigars of the Colección Habanos series, the Gran Pirámides are packaged in a box that looks like a book. Each version is called Tom or Volume. “Late, but it was worth it,” said Mitchell Orchant, managing director of C.Gars Ltd. in London. It has many shops throughout the UK, including a shop at La Casa del Habano in Chester, England. “It’s not easy to keep up with new versions because it seems that the things we get and when we rarely get it, but at least when we finally get the demand exceeds the supply.” Only 2,000 boxes were produced, and as you can probably assume, such a Cuban version can be very expensive. Habanos SA, a Cuban monopoly and world distributor of Cuban cigars, launched this program in 2001 with Cuaba Salamones. Since then, he has released almost every year a new Colección Habanos cigar.
